There was this uber cool Christmas sale @ City Chain. For those who want to get a watch or are intending to get one for a friend, do visit City Chain with discounts up to erhmz... I'm not sure how many %... I think the highest I saw was 50%.
There are also selected watches which are sold for more than 50% discount, and unlike sales where selected items are limited, there is actually a wide variety of watches to choose from this category. Like my watch from Solvil et Titus for S$129...
Yupz... I patronized the CityChain branch located @ the new extension of Northpoint in Yishun.

A note of advice... apparently... different citychain stores seem to release different models of watches... differentiation to prevent store cannibalism arh? Business students...? Econs peeps?
Yesterday, I wanted to put in a new battery for a watch which was given to my dad by my uncle. So my mum and I decided to go to the CityChain store @ Compasspoint in Sengkang. The sale has drawn large crowds to the store and I had to go over to Vincent Watches to change the battery instead.
Anyways... when I was pressing my nose against the glass windows showcasing the watches @ CityChain, I realised some of the models present in the Sengkang branch were not present in the Yishun branch.
I saw a few other watches which were really nice and resonably priced, but considering the fact that my watch was a gift from my mun, nothing comes close to beats it even if it's from Tissot or Tag Heuer... MUAHAUHA.
After which, my mum and I went to have lunch @ Curry-San. It is a japanese fast food chain or sorts and I have been thinking of trying out the dishes there, especially my favourite Katsu Curry Chicken!! My mum had teriyaki chicken don... and our review of the chain...

Haha, the half star was given because their service quality was really good. This old lady dropped one of our potato wedges and returned with 2 pieces in return. The cashier also did a good job in recommending certain dishes to us and offering us options which were more value-for-$$.
The Katsu curry was really terrible, the sauce... ultra saltish with a slight tinge of spicy-ness. The rice was hard to chew and the potato wedges we ordered were placed in a weird and small cupcake holder and were over-spilling.
My mum's teriyaki chicken mini don was served in a bowl but they did not offer chopsticks. My mum had to use a pair of spoon and fork to navigate through the small bowl.
To be fair, I think it's because my mum ordered a mini don, that's why her meal came in a small bowl. Also, I didn't exactly approach the staff for a pair of chopsticks, they might have had a pair of chopsticks somewhere for my mum but we were simply too lazy to request for a pair.
Ok, enough ranting... Will blog again another day... Haha...
