Aligning... 0.99994%

On Tuesday, I was accompanying my mum to Takashimaya to redeem some FANCL product for my sister before meeting up with my dad to watch "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor". ErhM, not much comments for the show... it was just... like that lor... the company matters more! Haha, I enjoy watching movies with my dad (although he always chooses movies which i don't exactly like to watch, i.e. AVP), well... cause I get to talk and chit chat with him!

Anyways... as my mum and I were leaving Takashimaya, I chanced upon this pair of shoes from "Cotton On" which really looks interesting and nice! It was a white-based pair of shoe with checked blue lines (Refer to diagram below). They came in 3 sizes, Small, Medium & Large. This is the first time I've ever seen shoes being assorted according to S, M & L. So yes, I bought it @ $24.90 (if I haven't remembered wrongly) and acquired a new pair of shoes for the new semester.

Shoes from "Cotton On"
(Medium size)

2 months back, my friends and I were talking about this short film competition called Reel Revolution 2008 and eventually signed up for it as participants. For the past few weeks, we have been busy with the coming up of our scripts, going for talks, meeting our film mentor etc. i must admit I've learnt a GREAT deal about filming from my friends and benefited much from the whole process! Not only was I able to learn about filming on a theoritical basis, I get to be somewhat a film director... Haha....

Today is the actual shooting of our film, with our child actor arriving later in the afternoon. This morning, I headed down to school with loads of props for the filming... backpack... office/laptop bag...

I suffered from what many may call the "wardrobe malfunction", well deserved to be arrested by the fashion police if there were such enforcers in the first place. In fact, I realized there were a number of people peering down at my new pair of bright white checked shoes (from Cotton On). I took many "second-looks" at myself and realized I was in a pretty bad shape/ weird combination... whatever....

I was wearing a grey and black polo tee with a brown oversized 3/4s berms. My dark coloured and polo tee with STRIPES was a total mismatch from the pair of bright white CHECKED pair of shoes I was wearing. But it's ok, I survived the trip to Habourfront unscathed.. just pierced by the eyes of some onlookers.

When I arrived at Habourfront, I decided to drop by Cheers to check out if a prop (bubble blowing toy) we might use later in the day was on the shelves. To my dismay, there wasn't... but as I was leaving the shop, I saw a row of slippers. The cheapest was $3.00... then I looked down at my white checked shoes... it looked back... excuses to buy the slippers flew across my head...

"You're going to go bare footed during the film shoot anyway.... slippers would be wayyy more convenient... etc. etc."

So... I decided to buy it... (Refer to diagram below)

Flip-flops from Cheers @ Habourfront MRT station

When I queued to pay for the pair of flip-flops, I realized I left my wallet in my back pack and so I had to put down all my "barang barang"... big bags... small bags to retreive my wallet before paying for the item. After which, I headed off... and as I was on the escalator... I searched my berms for my EZ-link card to facilitate the boarding of bus later. This was the 2nd mishap following the wardrobe malfunction...

(>_<)"

To my horror, my EZ-link grew legs and ran away... I just couldn't find it!! Upon reaching the next floor and getting off the escalator... I had to put down all my stuff to search my bags over and over again but to no avail. I turned back.. went down the escalator and headed for Cheers again, hoping I might have left it on the counter. When I returned at Cheers, the personnel tending the cashier was busy with a long queue so I took a few quick glances around the area and nope... no signs of that rebel EZ-link which had ran away from me.

I stood outside Cheers... beaten and battered by the fact that I've lost my EZ-link. I squatted outside Cheers and decided to do one last search on all the bags I had with me... no... couldn't find it. By this time, the queue in Cheers has cleared... I decided to pop the most important question of my life to the cashier... "Will you marry...." ok... wrong channel... "Have you seen an EZ-link card lying around?"...

She replied no... stepped out the counter and attempted to search the area. Just as she stepped out of the counter and peered to the floor... there it was... my EZ-link card pretending it had lost its legs... lying on the floor... feigning death as if it wasn't its fault.

Haha, ok crappie... previously I mentioned was searching for my wallet to make payment for my floppies and I think I actually left the EZ-link card on the floor... my bad... or izzit a welcome gesture from my flip-flops.. making me look like a flop... not even able take care of an EZ-link card... =(

I was so relieved and the first thing I did was take out my handphone... excited to share this blessing with someone, but i realised... who can I message?

Then I started thinking... is it too mundane an issue to share with someone?

So I perished the thought and dropped my handphone back into my pocket. But nonetheless, I thanked God for this little blessing which brightened up my day! =)

Then I started thinking... *random*

My future life partner has got to be someone who will enjoy sharing the simplest blessings God has given us... someone who is willing to count life's smallest blessings and name them 1 by 1... or 10 by 10... or 100s by 100s with me.....

*Builds castles in the air...*

Ok... Ignore me...

Or maybe..... the next time I have a blessing, I'll just take out my handphone and randomly send a message to rub off the blessings and pass it on to someone else... HAHA..

Ok.. I'm officially tired... nights.........................
