Hmm... Interesting lyrics to ponder over...

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat, but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed

Chorus: I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
and when you get the choice to sit it out or dance,
I hope you dance, I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Livin’ might mean takin’ chances, but they're worth takin’
Lovin’ might be a mistake but it's worth makin’
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out, reconsider
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance,
I hope you dance (time is a wheel in constant motion always)
I hope you dance (rolling us along)
I hope you dance (tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder)
I hope you dance (where those years have gone)

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance,

dance (hold for 2 4 counts), I hope you dance,
I hope you dance (time is wheel in constant motion always)
I hope you dance (rolling us along)
I hope you dance (tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder)
I hope you dance (where those years have gone)
(tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder)
(where those years have gone)
(wait 8 4 counts)

"Wait For You"

[Verse 1]

I never felt nothing in the world like this before
Now I'm missing you
& I'm wishing that you would come back through my door
Why did you have to go? You could have let me know
So now I'm all alone,
Girl you could have stayed
but you wouldn't give me a chance
With you not around it's a little bit more then I can stand
And all my tears they keep running down my face
Why did you turn away?

[Bridge]

So why does your pride make you run and hide?
Are you that afraid of me?
But I know it's a lie what you keep inside
This is not how you want it to be

[Chorus]

So baby I will wait for you
Cause I don't know what else I can do
Don't tell me I ran out of time
If it takes the rest of my life

Baby I will wait for you
If you think I'm fine it just ain't true
I really need you in my life
No matter what I have to do I'll wait for you

[Verse 2]

It's been a long time since you called me
(How could you forget about me)
You got me feeling crazy (crazy)
How can you walk away,
Everything stays the same
I just can't do it baby
What will it take to make you come back
Girl I told you what it is & it just ain't like that
Why can't you look at me, your still in love with me
Don't leave me crying.

[Bridge]

Baby why can't we just start over again
Get it back to the way it was
If you give me a chance I can love you right
But your telling me it wont be enough

[Chorus]

So baby I will wait for you
Cause I don't know what else I can do
Don't tell me I ran out of time
If it takes the rest of my life

Baby I will wait for you
If you think I'm fine it just ain't true
I really need you in my life
No matter what I have to do I'll wait for you

[Bridge]

So why does you pride make you run & hide
Are you that afraid of me?
But I know it's a lie what your keeping inside
Thats not how you want it to be

Baby I will wait for you
Baby I will wait for you
If it's the last thing I do

[Chorus]

Baby I will wait for you
Cause I don't know what else I can do
Don't tell me I ran out of time
If it takes the rest of my life

Baby I will wait for you
If you think I'm fine it just ain't true
I really need you in my life
No matter what I have to do I'll wait for you

I'll Be Waiting.

God will provide a way!

1 Corinthians 10: 13 “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”

There are times I wonder if we steadfastly hold on to the promises of God. It is really a challenge to put in all our heart in trusting and believing in His word, especially in times where the road ahead seems bleak and treacherous. Not knowing what is ahead, not knowing what how to react to the overwhelming tasks and uphill battles, doubt and faithlessness often set in as we start worrying.

Things get worse as we attempt to resolve problems based on our own knowledge, not letting Him in on our thought processes. How often do we forget the fact our Lord God is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscience in each and every situation, good and bad, happy or sad?

No matter how how deep we have fallen, how wide (we think) the magnitude of our problems are, it is essential for us to realize that He is still control. It is my prayer that despite any circumstances, we will learn to submit and allow ourselves to be moulded by the Holy Spirit that lives in us. For if He is grieved, it is inevitable that we may miss His soft promptings through His word and through fellow brothers and sisters around us.

Our faithful Lord understands the temptations that are common to man for He experienced life on earth. He overcame life perfectly, sinlessly in this sin-filled world, and overcame death with the glorious victory on the calvary cross as He died and rose again.

Let us put our trust in His word, that He will not leave us in a situation where we can’t handle. The solution begins with the willingness to close our eyes, and the humility to bow down to ask for forgiveness of our sins before seeking His wisdom and strength to help us in our weaknesses. As the peace of God that passes all understanding penetrates our hardened hearts, we can then make a resolution and confidently stand up to our challenges for His namesake in the way He has provided and prompted us to do, in a manner He desires.

While God may not show us His way and provide us with solutions the instance we seek Him, let us be patient and allow Him to work according to His perfect timing. May we persevere in keeping our eyes on Him instead of our problems. With His word on our hands, and the promises etched in our hearts, God will provide a way!
