The time has come to hit the books and embrace the semester with open arms!
Since the completion of my examinations last Thursday, 08/05/08, I haven't exactly taken a good physical rest up until Sunday night. However,
Every day was spellbound with activities...
...with each activity being sealed with great companionships.
After my last paper on Thursday came liberation, 'chains came loose' but my headache still kept me on a lock-down. My head was in such a whirl, I thought I might have seen the universe, stars and planets, pass me by before my weary eyes. So I danced and pranced along with the stars, hoping it might help cushion the wreck in my head and hopefully meet my best friend at Woodlands... in one piece... which I did.
Seriously, I think I'm over exaggerating, but in short -- the headache almost killed me. Ahh, and as usual, the typical human response to such a situation was to seek worldly reliefs. Got my best friend to get me a facial wash to freshen up and thereafter head for a cup of coffee. Well, I'm not dismissing the contribution of these worldly reliefs... facial washes and a dose of caffeine... but the presence of a good friend must've been sent by God to lift the 'brick' from my head. After recovering slightly from the headache, we went to catch Ironman! Totally awesome, it's my wallpaper now... and to top it off... I have an emoticon on MSN.
Ok... on second thoughts, this might not be something to be proud of... but this movie definitely relieved my dream of being a superhero. Robo-Irving in the making dudes... so just hang on and fasten your seat belts.
On Monday and Tuesday, I also had a GREAT outing with my junior college friends. We explored areas which we've never been to... An Xiang Hill... China Square.. Far East Square... The Singapore Flyer. The areas we traversed for our urban escape span and cover Marina, Chinatown, Tanjong Pajar, City Hall, Raffles City and beyond (inside joke). We walked from place to place, which for one saves us the transport costs, and on another account, we actually benefited from the sights of obscure places and caught "never-seen-before footages" on cameras... not to mention obscene and not too glamorous pictures taken by my dear friends.
Come to think about it, I wonder if I've been occupying myself with far too many activities... all these "escapes" to keep me from letting my mind run wild. In fact, I went for a run today... and to the same effect, I let my legs do the running on behalf of my mind. I thank God for His word, which has truly been the guiding light... a lamp to my feet... and a light to my path!
Blessed week ahead to all! =)
